MANILA, Philippines – Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will experience rains as a low pressure area and the northeast monsoon continue to affect the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Tuesday.
In its latest weather forecast, Pagasa said that the low pressure area was seen 120 kilometers southeast of Davao City and was expected to bring widespread rains and thunderstorms over Visayas and Mindanao which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.
Luzon will likewise have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains, the state-run weather bureau said.
“Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and from the northeast and east over Eastern Mindanao,” Pagasa said.
Likewise, coastal waters in these areas will be moderate to rough, Pagasa warned. Elsewhere, light to moderate winds coming from the northeast and east will prevail and bring moderate seas.
