Matt Evans in good condition after QC car accident

MANILA, Philippines – Young actor Matt Evans emerged unscathed after figuring in a vehicular accident in Project 4, Quezon City on Friday morning.

Evans was driving his Toyota Innova SUV in Project 4 when his car rammed into a Meralco post. The actor swerved to avoid hitting a woman crossing the road, said Thess Gubi, Star Magic's PR head.

"Okay na siya. He was advised to take a rest. Nasa bahay siya ngayon at nagpapahinga," Gubi said.

Gubi added that with the state of Evans' car, it was really a miracle that the actor survived the accident.

"Kasi after ng aksidente, kapag nakita mo 'yung sasakyan niya, hindi mo aakalain na magiging OK siya. Ang tindi ng impact," the Star Magic official said.

Evans, who is known for his portrayal of Pedro Penduko in "Komiks Presents: Da Adventures of Pedro Penduko" and "Pedro Penduko at ang mga Engkantao", first joined showbiz as a housemate in "Pinoy Big Brother" in 2006.
