Rachel, Carlos not rushing to have a baby

MANILA, Philippines - Singer-entrepreneur Rachel Alejandro and husband, Spanish reporter Carlos Santamaria are not rushing to have a baby.

"Wala pa namang plano. Kasi ngayon... dun siya (Santamaria) nakatira. Dito pa 'ko so we'll see kung ano 'yung mangyayari within the next so many months," she told ABS-CBN News at the relaunch of The Sexy Chef, the healthy food delivery business she co-owns with her sister, at the Filipinas Heritage Library in Makati City on Wednesday.

Alejandro, the Vice President for Marketing of the said company, resides in Manila. Santamaria, meanwhile, lives in Bangkok where the Spanish news agency he works for is based.

The "Paalam Na" singer added: "Wala pa. Busy masyado."

Meantime, Alejandro shared details of her private wedding held last month.

"Ginawa siya sa Boracay Shangri-la noong April 9 and of course, it was just attended by 50 of my family and friends, as in maliit na wedding lang talaga. Of course, kumanta diyan ang daddy (singer Hajji Alejandro) ko, ako [at] mga sisters ko kumanta. So it was a night of a lot of music and dancing," she said.

"Pati 'yung father ng husband ko talagang nasa dance floor. Hindi nagpatalo. It was such a fun, fun wedding of course. And maid of honor was Geneva Cruz and Ricky Rivero (was man of honor) and my sister, Barni (was a bridesmaid)."

Alejandro said they opted to make their wedding small and intimate because "it was nice. Sabi ko nga maganda 'yung may time ka to spend with each of your friends. Hindi 'yung parang masyadong hilong-hilo ka. At least talaga this way, relax lang, enjoy and we had a perfect wedding."

Meantime, when asked about their honeymoon in Maldives, Alejandro said: "We're very very happy. Super super fun sa honeymoon."

Aside from the beach wedding held in the country, the newlyweds will have another wedding ceremony in Valencia, Spain soon.

Alejandro, however, said that they are yet to finalize the details.

We're planning a second celebration sa Spain... Pero hindi pa namin alam kung kailan," she said.
