The Smart Gilas national team's immaculate record was snapped by a ferocious Lebanon squad, as they suffered a 91-72 loss Thursday, in the 2012 William Jones Cup, held in Taipei, Taiwan.
Coming into the game, Lebanon's record was a mere 1-4, compared to the Philippines' 4-0 card, but Lebanon took a seven point lead after the first quarter and never looked back.
By the end of the third quarter, the Philippine squad was down 74-46, and they couldn't come up with the stops needed to come from behind, like in their previous game versus Japan.
Now at 4-1, the Philippines falls back to second place behind Iran, which plays Taipei-B, Thursday evening
