MANILA, Philippines — For a few women, the days after the holidays have sort of become a nightmare. With all the noche buena and media noche that have graced everyone's tables, striving for a sexier and leaner figure might have to topbill resolutions for 2011.
In a recent chat with Filipina world champion bodybuilder Luzviminda McClinton shared her training regimen on how to get back in shape this coming year. The better part of these exercises is that they can be done even in the comfort of one's home:
To tone the buttocks and glutes, do 50 repetitions of sitting and bending at home per day.
To lose body fats, do 10 minutes of running up and down the stairs.
To help eliminate the "love handles," do 50 reps of leglifts and sit-ups.
Eat healthy food everyday; moderation is key. "Kahit kumain tayo ng rice or any source of carbohydrates, basta after 2 o'clock, wala ng carbs," McClinton added.
Add more fruits and vegetables in your diet.
Inspiring story
From "goto" vendor, McClinton has become the latest Filipina to have become successful in the international scene of bodybuilding.
Last November, she bagged a gold medal in the FAME World Championships and a silver in the sexy muscles division. Overall, she had won in around 20 competitions during her 5 years in the sport.
Although, McClinton said that with what she gained, she too endured the necessary pain.
"It took me six months for training... and 40 hours before onstage, I didn't drink water," She said. "I just gargle[d]."
After her feat this year, McLlinton thrives to prosper more in the sport as she plans to join the Arnold Olympia competition next. As of the moment, she said she is seeking for sponsorships for her competitions in 2011.
