MANILA, Philippines — A 30-minute fire, the third in northern Metro Manila in less than 24 hours, destroyed Thursday afternoon a residential house in Malabon City.
Arson probers said the fire was confined at the house inside a residential compound along Herrera Street after alert firefighters and concerned residents joined hands in fighting the blaze.
Probers have yet to determine the origin of the fire, adding that no one was killed or injured in the blaze.
The fire was the third to hit the Camanava (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela) area in less than 24 hours after two fires hit Caloocan and Valenzuela cities earlier.
It also came less than a week after a deadly fire hit Navotas City, killing 12 persons.
