An 18-year-old man was killed in a gang war near his house in Manila's Sampaloc district Sunday night.
Radio dzBB's Paulo Santos reported early Monday that Henry Carpio, 18, was killed during the clash at the corner of Florentino and Crisostomo Streets in Sampaloc.
The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
Police Officer 2 Aaron Cortez of the Manila Police District Station 4 said the incident occurred at 8:45 p.m.
An initial investigation showed some 30 men belonging to the victim's rival gang assaulted the victim's house.
Members of both gangs were armed with homemade shotguns, the report said.
A brown van was destroyed during the clash, the report added.
