Of exes and renewed ties: Shaina and John Pratts; Sarah, Rayver and Cristine

MANILA, Philippines – Ex-couple Shaina Magdayao and John Prats are willing to look beyond the awkwardness of being each other's ex in order to be able to work together on a project.



“We just have to be professional, ‘di ba? Artista lang naman kami, nagtatrabaho lang din naman kami. So, kung maganda naman ‘yung istorya at magaling naman ang director, why not?” this Magdayao said on “Showbiz News Ngayon,” March 25.

The same is true with Prats, who said, “Wala namang problema ‘yon. Kumbaga, kung may project naman bakit hindi?”

Prats feels working with Magdayao anew will not spark jealousy between him and his girlfriend Rachelle Ann Go.

“The good thing about sa amin ni Shin kasi hindi naman kasi bigla, eh. It took me talaga one year to have a new relation so ‘yung amin naman ni Shin, full trust namin sa isa’t isa. Kumbaga, minahal ko muna ang sarili ko bago ako nakapagmahal uli. Kaya walang problema sa akin. Grabe din ‘yung trust sa akin, blessed ako doon sa trust na binibigay sa akin ni Shin,” the dancer-actor explained.

He also said he’s civil in his relationship with Magdayao’s boyfriend, John Lloyd Cruz.

“Nagkikita kami sa 'ASAP.' Tagal na rin, eh. Napakatagal na rin no’n. Siguro dapat kalimutan na at dapat mag-move on na ang lahat.”

Magdayao believes everyone has indeed let bygones be bygones. “I think we’re both very happy sa respective lives namin,” Shaina said.

“Lahat naman tayo ngayon dapat peace. Masaya na siya, lahat masaya na and let us just be happy,” Prats shared.

The exact opposite of Prats and Magdayao’s stand is Sarah Geronimo, who expressed reluctance to do a production number with Rayver Cruz and Cristine Reyes.

Although Geronimo appeared to have already forgotten the myriad of controversies she and the couple got entangled with, and even asked for forgiveness from Reyes, the singer-actress is not ready to share the same TV frame with the two just yet.

“‘Wag muna kaming tatlo. Parang hindi magandang tingnan,” she said on the same “SNN” episode titled “Forgive & Forget.”

Asked if she and Reyes are now communicating after their much-talked about reconciliation, Geronimo gave a vague answer.

“Ahhhhh. May... Secret!” she said.

Ara Mina, Reyes’ elder sister, has expressed interest in hosting a dinner for Geronimo and her sister in a dinner.

“Sana may natutunan din sila sa nangyari. Sana makapag-dinner din kami. Hindi ko lang alam kung isasama ko si Rayver. ‘Wag na muna kasama si Rayver. Ano muna, girl’s bonding,” Mina said.
