Last Pinoy standing bows out of PH Open

MANILA, Philippines – Antonio "Nikoy" Lining, the last Filipino standing in the 2011 Philippine Open Pool Championships, bowed out of the competition after yielding to Ralf "Kaiser" Souquet of Germany on Monday at the SM Megamall.

Following his 9-6 victory over former world champion Derren Appleton, Lining bowed to Souquet, 9-0, in the semifinal round of the Men’s 10-Ball.

Souquet will be facing fellow German Thorsten "The Hitman" Hohmann in the finals.

Hohmann edged Liu Hai Tao of China, 9-8, in the other semifinal match.

Meanwhile, Siming Chen of China defeated Kelly Fisher of Great Britain in the finals, 9-3, to take home the Women’s 10-Ball title.
