MANILA, Philippines – Celebrity couple Robin Padilla and Mariel Rodriguez chooses not to have a baby until they enjoy their union to the hilt.

“Gusto ko sa ngayon, ako lang ang baby niya [Rodriguez],” Padilla says in an interview with “Umagang Kay Ganda,” April 4.

Rodriguez concurs, saying that she would rather lavish devotion on her husband for now.

Padilla and Rodriguez are set to wed in Catholic rites come June. According to Padilla, he hopes it would further public acceptance of their union. The wedding is open to everyone.

Padilla married Rodriguez last year in Muslim rites. It was held at the historic Taj Mahal in India. They hid the information from the media for a month until making the big reveal in an interview with ANC’s “The World Tonight.”

Just recently, the pair just finished work on “Tum: My pledge of love,” which both attest is a true labor of love.

“Tungkol sa pag-ibig na ginawa din sa pag-ibig,” Padilla says in an interview with “The Buzz,” April 3.

Rodriguez expresses pride in having experienced a different side to showbiz life because of the film.

“Iba pala [ang] pagkangarag [kapag] off-cam,” she says in the same “The Buzz” interview. I felt how it was to be on the other side.”

The film also features Queenie Padilla, Robin's daughter with ex-wife Liezl Sicangco. Queenie's scenes with actor Ejay Falcon proved taxing for the first-time movie director.
