MANILA, Philippines – TV/radio broadcaster Mike Enriquez has divulged a possible location for the upcoming wedding of newly-engaged couple, TV host Pia Guanio and businessman Steve Mago.
“Isa yata sa mga pinag-iisipan nila, scoop! Beach wedding... ang dinig ko,” Enriquez revealed in a taped interview aired on “24 Oras,” May 13.
But Enriquez quickly clarified, “Pero isa lang yun sa mga pinag-iisipan nila.”
In the May 11 episode of the same GMA news show, Guanio herself confirmed her engagement to her non-showbiz beau of barely a year. The host said that their families already met on May 7 and that she is “thankful” they get along well.
While there’s no set date and venue yet for the wedding, it's already been reported that Guanio’s “24 Oras” co-anchors Enriquez and Mel Tiangco will stand as two of the principal sponsors.
In his dzBB radio show on Friday, Enriquez talked to the couple who pointed out the characteristics they like about the other.
“One of the qualities that I like about him is that he's very fun to be with. Walang masamang tinapay sa kanya, napakadaling niyang yayain, na lagi yung game. Tapos higit sa lahat very family-oriented siyang tao at very spiritual,” Guanio said.
On the other hand, Mago described Enriquez as “napakabait.”
“At saka nakita ko rin ang values niya at family-oriented [siya], very spiritual at saka simple,” he added.
In the “24 Oras” interview, Enriquez extended his congratulations to the couple and said, “Aprub na aprub [ako] sa lahat.”
“At tulad ng lahat ng, hindi lang mga Kapuso sa GMA kundi lahat ng mga tagapanood at mga tagapakinig, nagagalak kami at excited na kaming makita ang inyong kasal na siguradong magiging maganda,” he finished.
In other news, Divine Diva Zsa Zsa Padilla has no qualms should her eldest daughter Karylle tie the knot with boyfriend, Spongecola frontman Yael Yuzon.
“Si Karylle naman is of age na to make her own decisions. ‘Pag kailangan niya ng advice, that's when I get in,” Padilla told ABS-CBN News in an interview posted on abs-cbnnews.com also on May 13.
The diva feels that once a child turns 18, it already makes him or her an adult thus, “mayroon na silang freedom of choice kung sino ang gusto nilang makasama.”
Zsa Zsa added: “You cannot completely dictate kung sino 'yung tamang person for your children, right?”
The romance between Karylle and Yuzon became publicly known when Yuzon’s older brother, Pupil’s lead guitarist Yan, confirmed so in an interview with “TV Patrol” January this year. Still keeping their relationship under the radar, it turns out the two had been together since 2010.
