MANILA, Philippines – Concert Queen Pops Fernandez has been diagnosed with recurring throat problems, leaving her no choice but to postpone her fashion concert series scheduled this May.
An official statement from Resorts World, the concert venue, revealed that the singer’s doctor advised Fernandez to rest her voice until the end of the month.
“We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and we beg for your kind indulgence,” the statement said.
Fernandez’s concert originally scheduled on May 24, 2011 at the Newport Performing Arts Theatre has been to postponed to June 14, 2011 at the same venue.
“Ticket holders of May 24 can use their tickets on June 14. There is no need to change the tickets for the new date,” the statement said.
“Pops Fernandez in Fashion” will also feature singer Erik Santos as guest.
The show, which will be directed by Kokoy Jimenez, will also feature creations of fashion designers Maxie Cinco, Francis Libiran and Cary Santiago.
The concert's musical director is Mel Villena who will be accompanied by the AMP Big Band.
