Younghusbands' mom passes away

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) - The mother of Philippine Azkals players Phil and James Younghusband, Susan, passed away last Saturday night around 10:30 p.m. due to a massive heart attack.
She was 49 years old.

Younghusband is survived by her 3 children, James, Phil and Keri.

Her wake will be held at Funeraria Paz, Sucat, Paranaque.

An outpouring of sympathy came from the football players' teammates.

In his Twitter account, striker Nate Burkey said: “Thoughts and deep prayers for @PhilYHusband @JYH7 are needed. Blessings!”

Midfielder Jason Sabio, for his part, tweeted: “Cherish life and your loved ones. Celebrate one's life rather than mourn their death. Thoughts prayers and blessings to my dearest brothers.”

Defender Anton del Rosario, on the other hand, said: “Anything you guys need, the team and I got you... You guys are family... @JYH7 @PhilYHusband Thoughts and prayers go out to the both of you.”

Midfielder Simon Greatwich also said he is sad about the Younghusband brothers’ loss. “Everyone around u guys are there for u. much love to phil & james our thoughts are with u right now,” he said.

Even the former coach of the team sent his condolences for the family. “@PhilYHusband @JYH7 tough to find the words. Sending love and support from Sarah and I,” Simon McMenemy tweeted.
