'Boom Boom' faces Mexican KO artist in Pinoy Pride X

Filipino boxing champion Rey "Boom Boom" Bautista will be facing a heavy-handed Mexican boxer in the main event of Pinoy Pride 10.

The event will be held at the Hoops Dome in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu on December 10.

Bautista will face fellow knockout artist Mexican Miguel Angel Mendoza for the International Boxing Federation (IBF) international featherweight title.

"Malakas talaga 'yung Mendoza at kelangan talagang depensahan 'yung suntok. All knockout 'yung kalaban eh," Bautista said in an interview on ANC Top Story.

Mendoza remains undefeated in 17 fights. All of his wins came via knockout.

Bautista, on the other hand, has won his past 5 bouts including a 7th round technical knockout victory over Heriberto Ruiz last June.

Baustista said he will try to improve his conditioning to give his fans a great fight.

"[Kelangan] palakasin talaga 'yung katawan. [Kelangan] depensa talaga at 'yung counter punch."
