MANILA, Philippines – Instead of sounding needlessly defensive over his rumored rift with “It’s Showtime” director Bobet Vidanes, comedian Vice Ganda opts to remain mum on the issue.

Rumor circulates that Vidanes has resigned from the Kapamilya noontime show because of some issues with Vice.

Na dapat hindi sa akin nanggaling ‘yan,” Vice explained in a taped interview with “The Buzz” aired April 22.

The famed TV host reiterated that instead of asking him about the issue, they should go directly to Bobet because, “hindi ako ang dapat mageksplika o magpaliwanag sa bagay na ‘yan.”

He confessed, though, that he’s been absent on “Showtime” lately because of some commitments in the Middle East. Vice highlighted that his absence has the permission of the show’s staff and the network’s management.

On the issue that he and Bobet allegedly continue to snub each other off camera, Vice clarified, “Una, wala naman kasi siya sa studio, nasa ibang lugar siya kaya hindi talaga nagkikita-kita naman.

“Ang totoo, hindi kami nag-away. Walang naganap na isnaban, wala kaming gano’n,” he added.

Interestingly, though, Vice claimed that he’s really not that close to Bobet after all.

Vice related that it baffles him greatly why he’s suddenly dragged into the issue when he’s been out-of-the-country during the latter’s purported resignation, and even when the rumor broke out.

He revealed, though, that he’s yet to speak with Bobet about their reported tiff. However, he stressed that, “Wala namang dapat i-eksplika sa akin si Direk Bobet, wala siyang dapat sabihin sa akin at ipaliwanag kasi alam naman naming kung ano ang nangyayari.”

Vice likewise addressed the rumor that he is a "tough colleague" to work with.

To this, he appealed anew for the question to be posed to his co-hosts and colleagues in the show instead.

Kung may problema sila,” he challenged.

The accomplished comedian, who is set to receive the Male Concert Performer of the Year and the Phenomenal Box Office Star awards from the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation, believes that if the persons involved in the fray would only address the issue directly, then it would surely come to an end.
