MANILA, Philippines – TV5 contract star Nadine Samonte is not being wooed by a politician.
This the actress flatly told PEP when queried about the rumor. She explained, “Wala, siguro nasa probinsiya nila ako before for the show, lahat ng fiesta nila pinupuntahan ko, e. Tsaka hindi lang naman ako ang nai-invite dun, e, so nakakahiya naman.”
It follows that Nadine is surprised to learn about whispers that he is being provided for by her supposed politician lover, who is said to have given her a driver, bodyguards and branded bags.“Wala talaga, saan nanggaling ‘yan? Nakakahiya sa kanya, huwag na nating idamay ‘yung tao, kasi parang hindi tama.”
Asked if she would even want to be courted by a politician, Nadine stated her stand so clearly.
“Naku, ayaw ko ng pulitiko, magulo! Actually, may nanliligaw sa akin lately na magpa-politics siya, kaso binasted ko, eh, kasi magulo.
“Andito na nga ako sa showbiz, e, magulo na; politics, magulo din. Gusto ko ng tahimik lang,” she said.
Months after breaking up with her longtime boyfriend, young businessman Emerson Chua, Nadine just isn't ready yet for a new relationship.
“May mga bagong manliligaw na nababasted ko kaagad. Honestly, siguro I’m not ready pa for any commitment right now, kasi seven years is hard… At saka kaunting bagay na parang may pangit na nakikita ko, turn-off kaagad ako, yun yung ugali ko ngayon,” she was quoted to have said in the same article.
