Melissa: No third party in break-up with Jake

MANILA, Philippines - Actress Melissa Ricks said there is no third party involved in her break-up with actor Jake Cuenca.

"Walang third party. Sana huwag namang obligahin si Jake na gumawa ng masama kasi he didn't do anything wrong," Ricks told abs-cbnNEWS.com during the launching of her newest endorsement, Cosmo Skin.

According to Ricks, she and Cuenca ended their 2-year-relationship almost 2 months ago.

"To be honest, wala na po kami ni Jake. And I just want everything to be OK para masaya lang tayo lahat, 'di ba? Napapagod na ako nang takas ng takas sa camera. I want everything back to normal at wala ng intriga," Ricks said.

Asked for the reason behind the break-up, Ricks replied: "Siguro when people go order people [to] change, maybe we have different sets of priorities. Basta iba. I have problems I have to fix. He has problems he has to face."

Ricks said she is thankful for the two happy years she spent with Cuenca and hoped they would still end up as friends.

"Sana, basta, gusto ko lang na maging masaya. Sana maging maayos ang friendship namin," Ricks ended.

In a previous interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com, the young actress said Cuenca is her first love.

"Masasabi ko na siya ang first love ko," said Ricks, adding that she fell in love with the actor because of his good qualities.

Cuenca was romantically linked to Ricks after they worked together in ABS-CBN's TV show "Pedro Penduko" with Matt Evans as the lead star.
