Less than three hours after a magnitude-5.7 quake hit parts of Southern Luzon, another quake measuring magnitude 4.7 hit the Bicol area on Monday night.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake was recorded at 9:29 p.m. and was tectonic in origin.
In its bulletin, Phivolcs said the quake's epicenter was 29 km northeast of Pili, Camarines Sur.
Phivolcs said the quake was tectonic and was felt at Intensity IV in Naga City and Pili, Camarines Sur.
An Intensity IV quake is considered “moderately strong" and felt generally by people indoors and some people outdoors.
However, Phivolcs said no damage nor aftershock was expected from the quake.
Earlier Monday, a magnitude-5.7 quake rocked parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila.
