MANILA, Philippines - For a murder suspect currently in jail, Jason Ivler has thousands of supporters online.
In fact, 92,451 people have "liked" the expletive-laden Facebook fan page that Ivler's relatives and friends have set up to call for his release.
The Ivler fan page came alive on Thursday night after TV Patrol and ANC’s The Rundown aired reports on the special treatment that Ivler is reportedly receiving at the Quezon City Jail.
An unidentified administrator of the site reported ABS-CBN News’ interview with Ivler’s mother, Marlene Aguilar-Pollard.
“Channel 2 news just left She Dragon's house. Sabi daw nila [Ebarle], may special treatment daw Jsin sa city jail kaya nag file sila ng motion ilipat Jsin sa Bicutan. Sige mag file ka lang ng mag file ng motion babuy ka! Babuy ka Ebarle mamatay kayo sa inggit! Ha ha!” the fan page administrator posted on Facebook.
The post has received 43 “likes” as of posting.
"Jsin" is the name Ivler has adopted to reflect his interests in hip-hop and “gangsta rap” music.
"She Dragon" is how Ivler's supporters call Aguilar-Pollard, while Ebarle is the family name of Renato Victor, a son of a Palace official that Ivler is accused of killing in November 2009.
Ivler was arrested and wounded when the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents raided their home at the Blue Ridge A Subdivision in Quezon City in January 2010.
An Ivler supporter posted a message on the fan page Thursday night, asking people to watch ABS-CBN News’ Bandila newscast later in the evening.
“SI JSIN ASA BANDILA MAMAYA.. CHECK NYO MGA KAPATID. F&^&$@&^ THE PHILIPPINE GOVT,” the post stated.
“IDoL! nka tattoo na xa sa katawan ng TAO! F^&@%@$% the SYSTEM! JSIN RULES!” another fan said.
“ANO BA MGA TANGA BA ANG MEDIA? IDOL NGA NG BAYAN SI JSIN! KAHIT GUSTO NIYANG PA [oral sex] ARAW ARAW PUEDE YUN! BWAHAAAHAAHA!” said another.
Ivler’s mother also regularly posts messages on the Facebook page.
“You can't bring a man like Jsin down. He's a god on earth!” Aguilar-Pollard wrote on the page on Thursday.
Her Facebook profile photo shows Aguilar-Pollard flashing a dirty finger.
“I am not afraid of the world. It is the world that should be afraid of me. So, FTW!” she said in a message on Thursday. “Ano magagawa natin, hari ng selda ang anak ko! Hail Jsin! F*&*^@&^ all politicians who look like pigs!”
Aside from expletives and defiant posts, other messages posted on the fan site seem threatening.
The fan page administrator wrote a post egging the public to harass a court judge when he goes to his car. "Ask him why he hasn't decided to let jsin go to the hospital,” the administrator wrote on Wednesday.
Even the death of one NBI agent who was among the arresting officers of Ivler did not escape the fan page administrator.
“BREAKING NEWS - Isa sa mga NBI agents nang raid sa bahay ni Ivler binaril sa Makati - 14 shots were fired. PATAY ANG SALOT! AYAN NAG-SIMULA NA! PAY BACK TIME! &^@^%^@& YOU ALL! DIE YOU ^&@%^@%&@&!” a post made last March 26 read.
