MANILA, Philippines -- The Southern Police District (SPD) announced yesterday that a security plan is now in place to ensure the safety of the public against criminals for "Semana Santa" or "Holy Week."
Chief Insp. Jenny DC Tecson, SPD Public Information Office chief, said the security plan set up by the SPD under Chief Supt. Jose Arne M. De Los Santos, includes providing security on airports, bus/PUJ terminals, and all other places convergence and frequently-visited destinations by tourists/travelers and commuters within the southern part of Metro Manila.
She said the SPD will beefed up its security measures as the Holy Week starts on Sunday.
