Aquino is dating again

MANILA, Philippines – President Benigno Aquino III, the country's first bachelor president, is dating again.

Sources told ABS-CBN News that Aquino and his date watched the reunion concert of the Hotdog band at Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City last Monday.

A Philippine Star report, meanwhile, said Aquino fetched his date from one of the villages in Pasig City before attending the concert.



When asked about the date, Deputy Presidential Spokesperson said she did not know about it. She said Aquino was accompanied by Communications Secretary Ricky Carandang and Budget Secretary Butch Abad.

Carandang, meanwhile, said he saw Aquino's date.

"I saw her. I didn't meet her. I didn't know who she was. We were with a large group of people. I was not in the same people. I didn't have a chance to meet her or talk to her. I arrived separately so I suppose he introduced her to everyone else."

In the President's table were the Abads, Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) chairman Cristino “Bong” Naguiat and his wife, Energy Secretary Rene Almendras and his wife, and defeated vice-presidential bet Manuel Roxas.

Another source said Aquino's date was PNoy's "old friend."

Aquino, 51, has previously admitted that he has been unlucky in love. His past dates include celebrity stylist Liz Uy, Valenzuela City councilor Shalani Soledad and stockbroker Len Lopez.

He has also been linked to Sabrina Chua of the Singapore-based Channel News Asia.
