DOLE reports over 100,000 job vacancies

The number of job vacancies in Phil-Jobnet, government’s skills matching web portal has exceeded reached the record level of 102,930 slots, according to the Bureau of Local Employment (BLE) of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

“This proves there are available vacancies in the country, and the best way to fill these up is by matching the skills requirements of employers with qualified applicants," BLE Director Ma. Criselda Sy said.

A significant chunk of the job openings, 17,598 positions, are in the business process outsourcing industry. There are 9,348 vacancies for customer service assistants. There are also 9,348 slots for technical support staff. Thousands of other employment opportunities are available.

Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz said the DOLE will continue to maintain and strengthen Phil-Jobnet and encourage more employers to post more vacancies.
