MANILA, Philippines – After two months of being away from the often controversial world of Twitter, actress Angelica Panganiban is back.
“Ako'y nagbalik balita ko boring na daw dito, pasasayahin ko lang kayo. Im back with a big bang!! Paaaaakkk!!!” Panganiban posted at around midnight, May 13.
The “Banana Split” star’s fans immediately responded to this tweet, all welcoming her back to the social networking site. Some of these tweets read:
“we miss u ms.angel.!!!”
“youre so sexy! =) namiss kita dto sa twitter!”
“I MISHUUUUUUU sa twitterworld.. Welcome back and welcome home.. So happy.. Sana wala ng umiksenang mga HATERS!”
“Welcome back to Twitter! Na-miss ko mga twits mo. ^_^”
“hi! miss angelica n miss k nmin d2 s twitter kla ko ndi kna mag ttwitter...♥”
Panganiban followed her first tweet in two months with, “Naninibago ako sa twitter!! Parang baguhan lang simulan na natin ang ligaya!!”
As of this writing, the actress has posted five tweets in all since last night. Aside from those above, Panganiban also mentioned in her remaining tweets that she taped for this Saturday’s episode of “Banana Split” yesterday, and that she has another shoot this afternoon although she has “konting sinat pa din.”
Having 490,808 followers, the opinionated Panganiban is one of the most followed and most controversial celebrity Twitter users in the country. In early March, she opted to quit the social networking for a while after getting into a cyber spat with a fan of Azkals striker Phil Younghusband.
The fan seemingly got offended when Panganiban commented on Younghusband's appearance in the indie film, "Happy Land." The fan used vulgar words and other profanities to insult Panganiban and even her boyfriend, Derek Ramsey. Although the fan already deleted his/her Twitter account, Panganiban managed to save the offending posts by reposting these on her own account.
Panganiban's last post prior to taking a break from Twitter was posted on March 5.
