No secret rendezvous with Heart

MANILA, Philippines – The reports about Jericho Rosales meeting up with his former girlfriend Heart Evangelista behind her boyfriend Daniel Matsunaga's back are bereft of truth.

“Secret daw siya?” Jericho retorted when asked about the matter.

“The right word or the right term para du’n, kumbaga hindi talaga ‘yun.Hindi naman namin ginagawa ‘yung gano’n. Minsan nagkikita kami o minsan nagkakabatian
kung sakali mang magkaharap. ‘Yun lang ‘yon. Wala namang ibig sabihin ‘yon,” he explained on “Showbiz News Ngayon” July 15.

Although they have long been estranged, the actor feels he can still be friends with Heart. He’s even willing to give her help if she needs it.

“Sa tagal ng pinagsamahan namin ni Heart...any time na kailangan niya ng kaibigan---kung ako man ‘yung nagpi-fit sa role na ‘yon o tipong sa akin siya may kailangan o kailangan ang tulong ko o ako ‘yung specific na tao (na kailangan niya)---okay ‘yon any time.

"I’m sure madami siyang kaibigan diyan pero para sa akin hindi ko naman puwedeng itapon ‘yon na gano’n lang, ‘di ba? “ he said.

Jericho added about his relationship with the Kapuso actress: “Ako, wala akong problema. Wala akong issue.”

While the actor is open to extending his hand of friendship to his ex-girlfriend, Jericho feels the outcome would still depend on the willingness of his exes’ current boyfriend.

“For me, genuine naman ang intention ko kung gusto kong makipagkaibigan, ‘di ba? Siyempre hindi mo naman mapipilit ‘yon kung hindi papasa sa partners nila, ‘di ba? Siyempre, respeto na lang ‘yon. Ayokong magbigay ng pressure sa relationship nila.”

Jericho and Heart were sweethearts for at least two years before they broke up.

After Heart, Echo was linked to Carmen Soo but nothing romantic brewed between them. He then went into a relationship with entertainment news anchor Cesca Litton but the romance also went kaput.

As for Heart, she and her childhood sweetheart, Ian Dy, got their second wind as a couple. But after more than a year, the two broke up until the actress found another chance at love with Brazilian model-turned-actor Daniel Matsunaga.
