Wall collapses

MANILA, Philippines — Four persons were injured after a wall collapsed on shanties along C-5 Road, Barangay East Rembo, in Makati City, Thursday afternoon.


Herbert Perez, Makati City rescue team, identified one of the victims as Jenny Rose Valerio, 22. She is still in critical condition at the Ospital ng Makati after she was pinned down by portion of the wall made of adobe.

Police said that the incident happened at around 3 p.m.

Apart from Valerio, Makati City rescuers retrieved three injured persons and were rushed to the same hospital.

Teams from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, Makati City police rushed to the scene shortly after the incident.

Authorities are still are still looking into what caused the wall to fall on the shanties.
