MANILA, Philippines – Ramon Tulfo has asserted that there have been other complaints relating to actress Claudine Barretto being abusive to airport personnel in the past.
Tulfo made the disclosure in an interview with “Umagang Kay Ganda” on Wednesday, saying that last Sunday’s snafu at Terminal 3 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), where he witnessed Barretto berating an airport staff is, “Pangatlo na ‘yan, ‘pang-apat.”
“‘Yung [dati] na-late sa pag-check-in [ng baggage niya] binastos niya. Meron naman isa pang pagkakataon ganun din,” he said without getting into details.
The veteran newspaper columnist and broadcaster now sports a black eye after having involved himself in an altercation with Baretto, the latter’s husband actor Raymart Santiago and some of their companions.
The couple supposedly didn’t appreciate Tulfo taking pictures of Barretto ranting at an airport personnel complaining about their baggage being “offloaded.”
Tulfo has filed grave coercion and physical injury charges against the duo along with six others. Not about to turn the other cheek, the couple filed child abuse charges and physical injury against Tulfo.
According to the couple’s lawyer, Alex Avisado, the case is necessary due to “the physical violence na na-sustain ni Claudine, and ‘yung emotional violence naman na na-experience n’ung mga bata na sa harap nila eh sinasaktan ang kanilang ina.”
But Tulfo scoffed at the notion saying, “Sila nga ang dapat sampahan ng child abuse dahil pinakita nila sa mga bata [nila] ‘yung hindi magandang halimabawa.”
