MANILA, Philippines—Pilipinas Shell has started to implement a one-peso-per-liter discount for public transportation vehicles, presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda told reporters on Friday.
“After (President Benigno Aquino) called up Pilipinas Shell president Ed Chua, Pilipinas Shell announced a P1 per liter discount for public transport,” Lacierda said in a news briefing.
“We appreciate this demonstration of a shared commitment to cushioning the impact of higher oil prices in the global market on the part of Shell,” he added.
