MANILA, Philippines – An exhibit honoring the memory of the victims of the Holocaust during World War II is currently running at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) headquarters in Pasay City.
Entitled Shoah (Holocaust in Hebrew) in Europe, the exhibit aims to educate the public about the history of the Holocaust to help prevent future acts of genocide.
It was organized by the DFA in partnership with the United Nations Information Center (UNIC) Manila, the Jewish Association of the Philippines and the Philippine Postal Corporation. The Holocaust was the genocide of approximately six million European Jews during World War II, a program of systematic state-sponsored extermination by Nazi Germany. (Roy C. Mabasa)
