Palace bares more appointees for vacant gov't posts February 1, 2011, 4:14am


MANILA, Philippines (PNA) — Malacanang announced on Sunday additional appointees of President Benigno S. Aquino III for the different vacant positions in government.

Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte said the President named Jose P. Leviste Jr., Leonardo D. Angeles, and Feliciano B. Calora Sr. as members of the Governing Council, representing the private sector, Philippine Council for Agriculture, Forestry and National Resources Research and Development.

The other appointees were: Jose Maria A. Ochave, Enrico B. Gruet, and Mediadora S. Claudio-Saniel, members of the Governing Council, representing the private sector, Presidential Council for Health Research and Development.

Rhodora V. Azanza, member, National Committee on Biosafety of the Philippines, representing Environmental Science; Marcelo C. Blando, member, Community [Farmer, Fisherfolk, and Indigenous Sectors]; Ma. Lourdes S. Florendo, member, Industry Sector; Kenneth Y. Hartigan-Go, member, Health Sciences; Antonio P. Jamon Jr., member, Consumer Sector; Ma. Cristina D. Padolina, member, Physical Sciences; Eufemio T. Rasco Jr., member, Biological Sciences; and Victor Marcos S. Venida, member, Social Sciences.

Minda J. Formacion and Luis Maria B. Garcia, members, Governing Council representing the Academe, Philippine Council for Aquatic and Marine Resources Research and Development (PCAMRRD); Ramon M. Macaraig, Augusto C. Natividad, and Phillip L. Ong, members, Governing Council representing the private sector, PCAMRRD.

Louis Napoleon C. Casambre, member, Governing Council, representing the private sector, Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development.
