Plane crashes in Pangasinan; 2 pilots hurt


MANILA, Philippines (Xinhua) – Two student pilots were hurt after a light aircraft they were riding exploded this morning on landing at an airport in Lingayen, Pangasinan.

Japhit Chua and Raven John Mirasol, both student pilots on board the plane, managed to escape the burning aircraft and suffered injuries due to the incident.

Lingayen deputy police chief Inspector Realito Rodriguez said the plane, with body number RP-C8204, crashed into a concrete wall and exploded.

Aviation officials are investigating the incident.
