A light aircraft crashed into a residential area in Parañaque City Saturday afternoon, killing at least 14 people—some of whom were reportedly minors—according to a GMA News Flash Report.

Chief Inspector Enrique Sy of the Parañaque police confirmed in an earlier report that three of the dead were children while nine were adults, including the plane's pilot and co-pilot.

Foreign news service Associated Press, meanwhile, reported that seven were killed in the incident.

On the other hand, radio dzBB reported that over 20 people were rushed to the Parañaque Doctors Hospital shortly after the crash.

Minutes after the crash, Bernabe cited initial reports indicating the incident occurred past 2 p.m., with the plane crashing near an elementary school.

"Apparently may tinamaang bahay (Initial reports indicate it may have hit a house)," he said in an interview on dzBB radio.

He said the general area where the plane crashed was a "depressed area."

Volunteer firefighter group TXTFire said the crash caused a fire at the Doña Soledad Extension in Better Living subdivision area.

It said the fire had reached the fifth alarm as of 2:50 p.m.

Meanwhile, an eye witness, Earl Esto, told GMA News Online the plane crashed around 2:30 p.m. in F. Serrano Subdivision.

Esto, a worker of a printing company, said the crash site is around 50 meters away from her place of work.
