Julia Clarete reacts on love triangle issue with Angelica Jones and Illac Diaz

MANILA, Philippines – TV host Julia Clarete has aired her side on the rumored love triangle she got herself in with Illac Diaz and Angelica Jones.

There’s no truth to it,” Clarete said on “Showbiz Central,” March 6 regarding the rumor that she went to San Pablo parish and saw her boyfriend Diaz and Jones together.

In her Gossip Girl column titled “Is that you, Illac, in a love triangle?” Giselle Sanchez wrote about an informant saying that “Julia Clarete was reportedly seen storming the San Pablo parish while the churchgoers were coming out from mass.”

“Once and for all, these are the facts and this is the truth: Hindi po ako sumugod sa simbahan. I asked him (Diaz) one by one the things that were stated there and none of them were true. Hindi sila nag-date ni Angelica ever. Wala silang romantic liaison ni Angelica ever,” Clarete said.

The “Eat Bulaga” host said she “was never angry at any of them.”

“I’m not angry at Giselle for coming up with an article of that sort. I’m not angry at Angelica for allegedly saying those things about Illac and about me na talagang nakakapanirang reputasyon naman talaga.”

Denying she stormed the parish church just to see Diaz and Jones on a date, Clarete explained, “it’s simple math.”

“Alam mong wala siya doon at alam mo sa sarili mo na wala ka rin doon sa kinuwentong incident, ba’t ka magagalit?”

Jones, at least in the Gossip column of Sanchez, allegedly claimed she and Diaz were “exclusively dating,” which Diaz denied in his interview with PEP on March 6.

"On my part, I cannot keep chasing lies forever. First is the praying inside the church together thing, next is an encounter that never existed, next is dating exclusively. All never happened, except in someone's effort to create a scandal to attract attention,” Diaz said.

Diaz was obviously still reeling from anger over Sanchez's article.

Meanwhile, Sanchez texted a message of apology to Diaz, which was aired on “Showbiz Central.”

“I have apologized to him on the cellphone in case I caused him and Julia stress, but I guess he didn’t hear it because he was thinking of the next thing to say. So in case he did not hear, I apologize again and promise and promise to correct it in my column on Wednesday,” Sanchez said.
