A wave of civilian unrest continues to spread in a vast area of the globe. It already brought down two of the region's long-time leaders: Tunisia's former President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali and Egypt's Hosni Mubarak. It has destabilized the global prices of oil and displaced thousands of Overseas Filipino Workers.
GMA News Online has prepared an infographic that describes the political situation and shows the official numbers of OFWs in this troubled region, although official data do not reflect what could be tens of thousands of undocumented Filipino workers in those countries, especially Iraq and Afghanistan where labor and travel bans are currently in place.
