Summer is definitely more fun with NIVEA SUN! My top summer wonder is listed below

Here are my list of my Top 7 summer wonders here in the Philippines

I hope u also like it!

1. Our First Destination: Lion's head ( For Big Thinkers)

Location: Kennon Road, Baguio City

Site map:

Description:The lion's head along Kennon Road is the undisputed landmark that is synonymous to Baguio City. It is commonly said that a trip to Baguio City would not be complete without taking home a souvenir photograph with the famous lion head which serves as the backdrop on Kennon Road.

Local and foreign tourists make it a point to stop in Camp 6 and have their photographs taken at the base of the lion head. The 40-foot high lion head, located a few kilometers from the Kennon Road view deck, was carved by a Cordillera artist from a limestone boulder. Lions Club members of Baguio City thought of creating a symbol that would proclaim the presence of the group in this mountain resort city.

Just beside the lion head are a few small stalls that sell woodcarving and other native handicraft. Softdrinks and light snacks are also sold to visitors who take time to stop and take a break after the 45-minute drive up Kennon Road. The vendors have enjoyed high sales since this popular landmark was constructed.

2. Second destination: Luzon West Cost (for Surfing addict)

Location: Batangas City

Site map:

Description:Philippines’ most inhabited island is the Luzon & is home to its capital, Manila. The west coast of Luzon has some great diving areas that are all very approachable due to their proximity to Manila.

Subic Bay is natural deep seaport, the bay has been a essential strategic base of the US Navy since the World War II. Today, the US Navy has left & the area has been opened up to tourism. The main feature of the area are the numerous ship wrecks, a result of the field’s history. These shipwrecks, along w/ the other places in the field, were completely off limits to divers until 1992. Near to Batangas Bay in the south is Nasugbu Beach. The field is only a short distance from Manila & has some excellent diving spot. About 15km off the seacoast is Fortune Island. The island owes its name to the plentiful supplies of booty hidden here by pirates. The island has some interesting diving, including a Bat Cave, a penetrable wreck & the Blue Holes – three large holes in the coral that bring you to an underwater cavern w/ crystal clear water & Whitetip Reef Sharks. Cuttlefish are common in the field as they use the Bat Cave as a breeding ground.

3. Third Destinaton: Hoyop-Hoyopan Cave(for Extravagant Experience)

Location: Camalig Albay, Bicol

Site map:

Description: The Hoyop Hoyopan Cave is a cave-system in Camalig, Albay. It is the most popular destination in the town. A natural tunnel-like structure in Camalig, Albay. Legend says that these caves were the primitive habitats of the natives in the area.

‘Hoyop’, is a Bicolano word for ihip (blow). It's so cool inside as if you're inside an air condition room. Hoyop hoyopan Cave is one of the most popular attractions in Albay. It could be reached by any type of motor vehicles.

The cave, which was discovered during the Japanese invasion has 3 layers. We were accompanied by a guide who accompany us inside the cave. Entrance fee to the cave is P20 per person plus a guide fee which is not fixed (it's up to you, how much you will pay the guide).

There are a lot of stalactite formations inside the cave that may amaze you. Personally I found the formation too ordinary since I already seen the stalactite and stalagmite formation inside the Underground River in Sabang, Palawan.

4. Fourth Destination: Cuatros Islas, Leyte (for Virgin beaches Explorer)

Location: Hindang and Inopacan, Southern Leyte

Site map:

Description:The allure of the beaches lining the shores of Cuatros Islas is comparable to the top beaches in the Philippines sans the dense number of tourists that crowd the latter.

The sense of serenity that one feels by spending time in the shores of Cuatros Islas sets it apart from the other top beaches in the country. Beautiful, white sandbars meet with crystal-clear waters to present a sight to behold. The islands are accessible from Tacloban City or Ormoc City via Baybay, in Leyte province by vans and buses plying the southern roads to the heart of Southern Leyte. It usually takes about 2-3 hours to get to the jump-off points in the towns of Hindang and Inopacan, depending on what city one sets out from.

Location: Malapascua Island, Cebu

Site Map:

Decription: They would often go on an inter-island boat cruise on a rented banca just to experience both beaches on one trip.

Malapascua Beach, on the other hand, is the “undeveloped Boracay”, where you can enjoy the beach without the noise of overdevelopment and the nightlife. It's a place where you can escape, write a book, or simply lounge.

6. Sixth Destination: Tinuy-an Falls Bislig City, Mindanao (for Nature Lover)

Location: Bislig City, Mindanao

Site map:

The falls is approximately 95 meters wide and 55 metres (180 ft) high, touted as the Niagara Falls of the Philippines.
