MANILA, Philippines – After his successful onscreen tandem with Sarah Geronimo, actor Gerald Anderson is set to work with Cristine Reyes in an upcoming primetime soap.

Anderson confirmed this in an interview with Push.com.ph posted on Sept. I’m really excited. Meron kaming gagawin.

Diana Zubiri, ABS-CBN’s latest ward who’s reportedly been cast in the same soap, likewise confirmed the news in a separate article on ABS-CBNNews.com posted on Friday.

The Kapamilya network’s newest pairing is certain to spark interest especially with the widely-known non-showbiz connection between Anderson and Reyes. Recall that Anderson, who recently stopped courting Geronimo after more or less half a year of doing so, is a close friend of dancer-actor Rayver Cruz, Reyes’ current boyfriend.

The sultry actress, in turn, got into a highly publicized feud with Geronimo in the past allegedly over Cruz. On December 2010, Reyes lashed out on Twitter at a certain “drama princess” whom she said made the following remark against her “Pagmamagaling magsayaw habulin ng mga babaeng sexy...”

While Anderson is aware of these, he begged off to comment and instead advised Push, “Tanungin niyo si Rayver.”

Meanwhile, an earlier ABS-CBNNews.com report mentioned that Geronimo is apparently still willing to work with Anderson in a third movie probably next year. Previously, their tandem topbilled “Catch Me… I’m In Love” and “Won’t Last A Day Without You.”
