The Metro Filmfest entry ‘El Presidente’ recently got an ‘A’ or excellent rating from the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB), which evaluates and grades films submitted to it for review.
The film, which stars Laguna Governor E.R. Ejercito in the title role, is about the life of first Philippine president Emilio Aguinaldo, and is based on a 14-year research.

Jobert Sucaldito, the film’s publicist, also told Yahoo! Philippines OMG! that the students of  Emilio Aguinaldo College  --  8,000 in its Manila campus and 2,000 in Dasmarinas, Cavite or 10,000 all in all – are slated to watch the historical film next year.

“They are proud of the film since it is about the man after whom their school was named,” says Jobert.

‘El Presidente,’ directed by the award-winning director Mark Meily, also stars Nora Aunor, Cesar Montano,  Christopher de Leon, Cristine Reyes, Bayani Agbayani, Alvin Anson and many more.

Ejercito said it showed everything there is to know about Aguinaldo, and covers highlights of Philippine history.
