Arnel Pineda docu gets new trailer ahead of US theatrical release

This new trailer for “Don’t Stop Believin’: Everyman’s Journey” was posted on YouTube on Monday ahead of the acclaimed documentary’s theatrical release in the U.S. next month.

Written, produced, and directed by the award-winning Filipino-American filmmaker Ramona S. Diaz (“Imelda”, “The Learning”), “Don’t Stop Believin’: Everyman’s Journey” follows the incredible Cinderella story of Filipino journeyman singer Arnel Pineda, who was discovered on YouTube in 2007 to become the frontman for iconic American rock band Journey.

The documentary celebrates Arnel’s rags to riches story and details his struggles to live up to the expectations of his bandmates and Journey fans as the band embarks on its mos extensive world tour in years.



That tour reached Manila in 2009, two years after Journey hired Arnel. Next month, Journey will perform again before Arnel’s hometown crowd.

Guitarist Neal Schon, keyboardist Jonathan Cain, bassist Ross Valory, and drummer Deen Castronovo will once again join their Filipino frontman in “Journey: The Return” on March 21, 8pm at the Mall of Asia Arena.
